Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking an Earned Value Management (EVM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our organization. This position will share responsibility for the strategic leadership, oversight and direction of EVMS for a significant business unit. The position is a resource for the business unit to drive the use of EVM as a program management tool. The position is highly collaborative and calls for proactive leadership and the ability to influence/nurture program team members to build EVM maturity and improve processes. 

The position is deployed to the business unit and provides significant interfaces with Program Managers, Business Managers, and Control Account Managers, as well as Raytheon EVMS communities, Finance Business Processes & Systems, and outside customers.  The position partners with Program teams to meet and manage EVM requirements and the selected candidate will need a strong recent working knowledge of EVM. 

The position entails the ability to work in a complex matrix environment and is accountable for all EVMS compliance within the business, as well as training, communications, tools deployment and program assessments. This position will support a hybrid work arrangement based out of either El Segundo, CA or Goleta, CA. The role will be primarily remote with some onsite time required.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Understanding EVM training gaps and providing solutions

  • Attending program meetings and evaluating EVM data to drive understanding

  • Encouraging standard processes and resources across programs

  • Developing efforts for effective completion of Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), Joint Surveillance Audits (JSAs) & Internal Surveillance Audits (ISAs)

  • Assisting in the effective deployment of EVM resources

  • Participating and helping to drive solutions for RI&S initiatives

  • Reviewing and auditing EVM deliverables on programs.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years experience

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field

  • Security Clearance - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Practical experience in applications of EVMS, Cost/Schedule Integration and Risk Management

  • Thorough knowledge of Government EVM reporting & compliance

  • Experience in Training and Process Improvement

  • Experience with EVM tools (i.e. SAP, MPM)

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Powerpoint

  • Independent, self-motivated, ability to meet critical deadlines

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to travel for business initiatives (ideally will be 5% of the time)

  • U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems

Other Information:

This position supports a hybrid work arrangement based out of either El Segundo, CA or Goleta, CA. The likely ratio would be 10% onsite, 90% remote. This is subject to change based on business needs.

Relocation assistance is not available.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
