Job Summary:

The TPY-2 Production finance team, in the Strategic Missile Defense Mission (SMD) area has an immediate opening for a Hybrid Principal Specialist, FP&A (grade P3) Lead role. The TPY-2 Production was awarded to build 8 AN/TPY-2 Radar in partnership with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the total contract values are $3B+. The FP&A Lead will drive the organization through various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual routines including the following: Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), and Monthly Forecast Reviews. This position is in a fast paced, dynamic, and challenging environment with an emphasis on skills in forecasting, large data analysis, and leadership communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and forecasting financial metrics (bookings, sales, profit, & cash) across the TPY-2 Production portfolio.

We are seeking someone interested in broadening their network, understanding a big picture view of the business, and having the opportunity to enact positive change across all of Raytheon Finance. This position supports the Rplan financial system, working collaboratively with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) community to drive efficiency in financial forecasting and reporting processes within.

This position requires a self-motivated individual able to balance competing priorities, who works well with individuals at different levels of the organization, has a process efficiency mindset, and a desire to learn and contribute to Raytheon key objectives and goals. The individual selected for this role will gain broad experience working with the Raytheon Finance community, other RTX businesses and Corporate, to drive excellence in finance systems and processes. This is a challenging and rewarding role with tremendous opportunity for growth and exposure.

This role is being offered in a hybrid capacity (remote and/or onsite) and is based on the needs of the business. The Program team resides predominantly in the Eastern U.S. time zone. The preferred candidate will be within a commutable distance to Massachusetts.  Expectations to be on site 1-2 times a week or based on business need.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Rplan business system administration; user access, develop and deliver training, user help, system communications, maintain reference material, drive Rplan best practices

  • Maintain FP&A master data in SAP (APEX) and Rplan to facilitate financial reporting; firm and non-firm project planning attributes; element of cost planning elements and rate table maintenance

  • Support fiscal month-end reporting; version copies, system locks, booking entries, data reconciliations; support planning activities related to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Planning (LRP) development

  • Working with PMO, functions, and Orders to Cash for all aspects of program cash flow including forecasting, billing types, delivery, and collection cycles

  • Participate in special projects and key business initiatives focused on continuous improvement and business transformation

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic

  • Typically requires 5 years professional Finance/Accounting work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years prior relevant experience

  • Experience within a Financial Planning, Program Controls, Accounting and/or Finance Support Functions position

  • Experience working with Raytheon Finance Tools (i.e. Rplan, SAP APEX/PRISM, BW/Analysis for Office, etc.)

  • U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems

Qualifications We Value:
