What is the opportunity?

An exciting opportunity to join or Risk Solutions Group (RSG) team in our London office as a Analyst or Associate.

What will you do?

• Provide solutions, pricing and execution services to RSG clients in FX, Rates, Commodities and Money Market products.
• Provide secondary and selected co-coverage to RBC Global Financial Sponsor clients for derivatives.
• Be responsible for oversight of new fund/client onboarding in collaboration with senior team members and functional partners.
• Coordinate with other areas of Capital Markets coverage including Macro Trading/Sales (Rates, FX, Commodities), Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Alternative Finance, Research and Resource Management Group (RMG), and ensure that your own marketing efforts compliment that of other product areas within RBC.
• Ensure that all client pricing has correct costs applied and is correctly recorded. Individuals on the RSG desk are responsible for management of capital, credit and funding elements inherent in the structuring and execution of derivatives transactions.
• Take ownership of transactions in the derivatives book throughout their life-cycle, actively managing existing exposures as well as originating new exposures.
• Ensure that all client marketing is suitable and appropriate.

What do you need to succeed?

• Educated to a degree level or equivalent
• Certified Person
• Experience in FX Derivatives Sales
• Experience in client coverage
• Sound judgement, with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Interpersonal and relationship skills
• Rigorous work ethic, motivation and willingness to invest the time required to meet deadlines while completing assignments accurately
• Ability to remain focused whilst working within a busy, pressurised environment
• Flexible team player with good communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
• Motivated self-starter and creative team player who is confident, inquisitive and has initiative
• High level of attention to detail
