What is the opportunity?
You will be part of Business and Client Services (BCS) who support pre and post trade deal processing for RBC Capital Markets securities trading businesses and its clients.
The role ensures that trades are captured, matched for settlement and reconciled, as well as covering other post trade processes, including fails management.
The BCS role is a first line of defence to trading businesses, ensuring accurate books and records are maintained whilst providing a seamless client experience.
This role requires you to be in the office 4 days a week.
What will you do?
Manage and monitor settlement of the Equity business' trading in the North American markets by using Arrow, ADP CA, internal reporting and produce daily fail reporting.
Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth settlement and fail management.
Manage and monitor buy-in risk and escalate when necessary.
Responsible for booking all allocations of Block trades, including CTM, FIX, voice, ALEX, GTC, ECN and Fidessa and Trade amendments in TOMS, GBOI and Fidessa and related confirmations. Monitor Salesbook and GBOI reporting and exceptions.
To be point of contact for tier 1/Focus Clients and continue to develop and enhance excellent Client Service. The role requires interaction with Front Office Sales and Trading and clients. Also interaction across BCS Teams as well as other functions such as Financial Control & Product Control, Data Management Organisation (DMO), Group Risk Management (GRM) etc.
To ensure all daily tasks / controls are completed in line with the departmental procedures.
Interaction with 3rd party providers such as Settlement Agents, Nostro Agents and Central Counterparties may also be necessary.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Fluent in German and English.
The candidate will have at least 2 years general BCS experience.
Candidates should be educated to A level standard or similar/equivalent.
Knowledge of Sales Support, CTM/FIX and Settlements within a BCS environment.
Must possess a high degree of PC literacy and experience, including Word and Excel.
Calm, logical approach to all situations.
Nice-to-have
Direct experience in a Settlements role.
Experience of DTC and/or CDS.
