What is the opportunity?

The RBC Capital Markets Client Intelligence team plays an integral role in support of the firm’s key strategic client initiatives. The Client Intelligence team is part of the Business Resource Management division which supports all global businesses within Capital Markets including Global Markets Sales & Trading, Corporate Banking & Investment Banking.

The CI team is responsible for ensuring accurate client revenue reporting and leverages internal data (revenue, resource utilization, CRM interactions) and external data (competitor benchmarking, client provided scorecards and feedback) to deliver analytical business insights. The data and analytics provided by the CI team empowers the business to make more informed decisions on its clients and supports its formulation of sales and client strategies.

Working Hours: US Hours > 9PM-6AM MYT

What will you do?

Deliver timely, actionable client analytics that drive Capital Markets business decisions. You'll support key business processes by developing and maintaining KPI dashboards that track client engagement, revenue concentration, and market performance. You'll translate complex data into executive-ready insights, preparing client briefs that equip senior leadership ahead of critical meetings. You'll also play a key role in advancing RBC's client analytics capabilities by identifying and executing data initiatives that enhance our client profitability measurement and revenue attribution models.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Passion for data and analytics with at least 2 years of work experience in reporting, analytics, and/or data visualization
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to query, organize, structure, and aggregate large amounts of data
  • Understanding and experience navigating data hierarchies (e.g., product, client)
  • Proficiency in BI tools, specifically Tableau
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, and graphs)
  • Solid proficiency with SQL across popular databases
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions and scope undefined data problems
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
  • Positive attitude and collaborative work approach; comfort working cross-functionally
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; agile and flexible in supporting evolving business needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to progress initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Drive to improve processes and think beyond status quo
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Nice to have:

  • Advanced SQL proficiency, including optimization of complex queries
  • Experience with Python frameworks and libraries (e.g., Pandas)
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with Alteryx (data cleansing, data aggregation)
  • Experience with AI tools and willingness to adopt emerging analytics technologies
  • Experience with Capital Markets businesses and products
  • Familiarity with benchmarking data and competitive analytics
  • 3+ years of analytics or reporting experience
