Job Description

What is the opportunity?

To provide highly professional and efficient executive support to the Head of UK Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and the ECM team while undertaking a wide range of administrative and EA duties with minimal guidance.

RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Complex diary management, anticipating the requirements and priorities of Head of Equity Capital Markets & team
  • Arrange travel and accommodation using online system (Concur) and prepare itineraries and process expenses in a timely manner using online system (Concur)
  • Responding in a professional manner to incoming emails and phone calls and relaying accurate information
  • Assist in onboarding of new joiners. Offboarding for leavers
  • Prepare and raise invoices for Broking retainer fees
  • Preparation of materials for key meetings, including agendas, meeting minutes, actions tracking and when required preparation of PowerPoint presentations, Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
  • Assist with various ad hoc assignments or duties as needed

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Experienced EA with ability to work independently.
  • Strong organisation skills at all levels involving a high level of attention to detail across all tasks
  • Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have

  • Concur and CRM experience is an advantage
  • Experience of supporting Executives within Financial Services
  • Strong communication skills (both vocal and written) with tact and diplomacy and ability to converse with senior management.
  • Calm and flexible nature in terms of dealing with urgent requests and situations.
  • A broad experience of dealing with a wide range of different personalities and workloads.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management.
