What is the opportunity?

To provide senior level support and coverage for the US Securities Settlements team. To settle and/or process all Fixed Income and Equity transactions assigned on a daily basis in a timely and accurate manner. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with various trading desks and play and integral role in facilitating high-value settlements. There will be opportunities to partake in department-wide projects covering changes in various parts the settlement lifecycle.

What will you do?

• Aid in managing volumes and organizing workflow

• Work constructively with teams across multiple business entities in a fast paced environment

• Process the settlements of US Fixed Income & Equity Securities and handle all trade exceptions on a timely basis

• Reconcile cash and position breaks related to settlements

• Posses good knowledge of the products and systems required to accomplish daily responsibilities (DTC, BDC, APEX, ICI IMPACT, BPS, etc)

• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standards and guidelines instructions and ensures processes and controls are in place to minimize operations risk

• On an ongoing basis will assist Manager, US Securities Settlements with any ad hoc requirements / tasks

What you need to succeed?

Must-have:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to learn quickly

• Ability to work independently and to solve problems using knowledge and experience

• Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel

• 2-4 years of experience in banking, preferably in trade settlements

Nice to have:

• Good working knowledge of internal trading, account and settlement systems including: BDC, APEX, ICI Impact, RIMMS

• CSC - Canadian Securities Course
