Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Regional Head of eMacro London Technology to lead the technical vision and execution for our Rates and FX e-trading platforms in London. This role is pivotal in driving the expansion of our regional Rates business across Europe and further strengthening our eFX capabilities. As a key leader, you will oversee a dynamic team of developers, collaborate with critical business stakeholders, and shape the strategic roadmap for our eMacro technology initiatives. This is a high-impact opportunity to innovate in low-latency trading systems while advancing our market presence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This role will report to a Managing Director, Head of eMacro Technology.

This is a full-time permanent position and will require 4 days in the office.

What will you do?

Lead technical strategy

  • Drive the development and enhancement of low-latency e-trading platforms for Rates and FX, ensuring alignment with global and regional business goals.

Team leadership

  • Manage and grow a team of 10 developers, fostering technical excellence and career development while scaling the team as needed.

Stakeholder collaboration

  • Act as the primary technical interface for traders, desk quants, and business heads, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.

Roadmap prioritization

  • Oversee the prioritization of a complex book of work across multiple desks and business lines, balancing strategic initiatives with tactical deliverables.

Business expansion

  • Play a central role in building out the regional Rates business in Europe and advancing the eFX business in London.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Leadership experience: Proven ability to manage teams of 10+ developers at varying seniority levels, with a focus on mentorship and performance.

  • Stakeholder management: Demonstrated expertise as the primary technical faceoff for traders, desk quants, and business leaders, ensuring alignment between technology and business objectives.

  • Prioritization skills: Strong track record in managing complex, multi-desk prioritization across competing demands.

  • Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of low-latency e-trading platform architecture and design, with hands-on experience in Rates and FX product technology.

  • Strategic vision: Ability to balance immediate business needs with long-term technological innovation, driving growth in a competitive market.

  • Experience using low latency Java. Experience with KDB and Python is a plus.
