Job Description

What is the opportunity?

  • The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for translating complex data into clear, compelling visual outputs that drive decision making across the CDR and broader Client Data ecosystem. This role owns the design and delivery of Tableau dashboards, executive PowerPoint decks, and management reporting materials for senior leadership, steering committees, and program stakeholders.

  • This is not a back-end data engineering role. The primary focus is on the communication layer: taking data, shaping it into a narrative, and presenting it in a way that lands with both technical and non-technical audiences. You will pull your own data using SQL and Excel, but the majority of your time will be spent designing dashboards, building polished presentations, and ensuring that the team's analytical work is packaged and communicated at a senior leadership standard.

  • The ideal candidate has strong visual design instincts, a natural ability to structure narratives around data, and the confidence to present materials to senior stakeholders. You care about how information looks, reads, and flows.

What will you do?

  • Dashboarding & Visualization

    • Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards that support operational monitoring (data quality metrics, reconciliation status, exception tracking) and management reporting (program delivery, KPIs, stakeholder analytics). Own the full lifecycle of dashboards from requirements gathering through design, development, testing, and ongoing refinement. Ensure dashboards are intuitive, well designed, and actively used by stakeholders to make decisions. Proactively evolve reporting as business needs change. Establish and maintain visual standards and templates that ensure consistency and professionalism across all team outputs.

  • Executive Presentation & Storytelling

    • Create polished, executive ready PowerPoint decks for senior leadership updates, steering committees, and program status reviews. Structure complex data findings into clear narratives with effective data storytelling, ensuring insights land with the intended audience. Design presentation materials that are visually clean, logically structured, and ready for senior consumption without rework. Partner with management and leads to understand what needs to be communicated and translate that into compelling materials. Build and maintain reusable templates and frameworks that raise the quality bar for all team presentations.

  • Data Extraction & Preparation

    • Write SQL queries to extract and prepare data for dashboards, reports, and presentations. Perform data validation and sense checking to ensure outputs are accurate and trustworthy. Use Excel and Power Query for data manipulation, formatting, and preparation where appropriate. Work with existing Data Analysts on the team to source, clarify, and validate data inputs when needed.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3 to 5 years in a Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Visualization focused role, with demonstrated ownership of dashboards and executive materials.

  • Proven experience creating Tableau dashboards and polished PowerPoint decks in a corporate or enterprise environment. Track record of producing outputs consumed by senior leadership or executive audiences.

  • Strong data storytelling instincts, able to distill complex information into clear, compelling visuals and narratives. Strong visual design sensibility with attention to clarity, consistency, layout, and audience appropriateness.

  • Clear and confident communication skills, comfortable presenting materials and walking stakeholders through insights.

  • Self-directed and organized, able to manage multiple reporting requests with competing deadlines.

  • High attention to detail, particularly around accuracy of data and polish of final outputs.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong proficiency in Tableau, with demonstrated ability to design and build dashboards for both operational and management audiences. This is the core technical requirement of the role.

  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, with the ability to build polished, narrative driven executive decks. Comfortable with layout, design, and visual hierarchy.

  • Comfortable with crafting materials that tell a story.

  • Solid SQL skills with the ability to write queries against large relational databases to extract and prepare data independently.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel including advanced functions, pivot tables, and Power Query.

  • Familiarity with Power BI is an asset.

Nice to Have

  • Coding skills (e.g. VBA, Python)
