Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, global team supporting the delivery of exceptional Futures operational services to our house business and external clients. You will take on responsibility for client onboarding coordination, margin management, and relationship support, playing a key part in ensuring our clients' success in the ETD markets. This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in derivatives operations while working with a supportive, collaborative team across multiple global locations.

RBC’s expectation is that, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?
Support the complete client onboarding lifecycle, including coordinating account openings across RBC legal entities, facilitating exchange access activation, and ensuring documentation and static data are accurate and complete

  • Assist in the daily generation and distribution of margin calls to clients and investigate and help resolve margin inquiries and disputes

  • Serve as an operational point of contact for clients with questions or concerns regarding their accounts and services

  • Coordinate with internal teams including trading operations, risk management, back-office, and Futures Operations to resolve client issues and escalations promptly

  • Maintain relationships with internal RBC clients and provide responsive operational support to ensure their inquiries are handled effectively

  • Take on increasing autonomy in managing client interactions, identifying process improvements, and providing guidance to junior team members as you develop in the role

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 3+ years of experience in Futures operations

  • Strong understanding of derivatives or exchange-traded products markets

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to work collaboratively across time zones and multiple locations

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Client services and margin processes

  • Familiarity with ION XTP

  • Experience supporting client onboarding or account management functions

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in derivatives trading

  • Experience working in a distributed team environment

  • Certification or undergraduate degree in finance, business, or related field
