Company Description
RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting and services company, seeks a motivated, experienced Director of Mine Water Management to join our Mining & Energy team.
Job Description
The Director of Mine Water Management will develop and execute mine water management services, ensuring high quality management of assessment, design and implementation. This will include delivery of services and deliverables on a timely basis within budget.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, or environmental science and at least 15 years of engineering experience; OR a master’s degree in engineering preferred and at least 13 years of engineering experience; OR a doctoral degree in engineering
- Broad knowledge of water resource management needs, including assessment and prediction of mine water quality, mine water treatment, waste rock management, tailings management and drainage
- including knowledge of water quality standards, environmental regulations and best practices
- Professional Engineer or Geologist (P.Eng or P.Geo) license or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) preferred
- Experience in overseeing science and engineering consulting projects related to mine water management.

Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Compensation includes a comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the EPP after a qualifying period.
