Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical EIT to join our full-service engineering team! We design innovative world-class projects utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. This is a hands-on design position with the Anchorage and Matsu Region Facilities Market Sectors. Your primary role will include electrical design for facilities supporting new construction and renovations in collaboration with architects, civil, structural, mechanical, and fire protection engineers. Duties may also include construction inspection of facility and utility or transportation projects. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Engineers in calculations.
  • Assist Engineers in code review and research.
  • Assist Engineers in placing devices in Drawings and circuiting.
  • Assist Engineers in design and Construction Administration (CA).

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Engineer-in-Training having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, or ability to pass the exam within 6 months.
  • Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Motivated, energetic, and driven to take on new tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Detail oriented & organized.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Desire to learn and advance in technical skills and understanding.

Additional Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Revit experience.
  • SKM, Elum Tools, or other Electrical software experience.
  • Experience with construction.
  • Cold region/Alaska experience.
  • Experience with preparing plans, specifications, and design calculations.

Additional Information

Work Schedule: This is a regular full-time position with benefits. The employee will work 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday) from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
