As the Sr. Director/Director, Strategy & Growth - Self-Service you will work across Product, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to drive new self-service logos. You will test, experiment, and iterate with numerous GTM strategies to unlock growth. You will drive rigor in the business and develop robust processes. You understand how to get things done and are comfortable leading through change and challenges with vitality and drive.

Business Development & Evangelism:

  • Drive New Logos by relentlessly advocating for product-led and self-service growth with Sales, Product, and other related teams

  • Develop and test initiatives, strategies, and messaging to unlock growth, working collaboratively with product marketing, sales programs, and other related teams

  • Engage Product teams (Sales Cloud, Slack, Heroku etc.) to determine new GTM approaches, sponsoring and incubating both packaging and bundling efforts, as well as product development

  • Work with external technology partners to develop solutions and bundles that drive growth, supporting and working collaboratively with Business Development and related teams

  • Cultivate relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that self-service motion remains top of mind

Product-Led Growth:

  • Advocate for changes to Starter, Your Account (and related products) to build a high-velocity transaction engine

  • Build consistent upgrade, add-on, and consumptive experiences for customers and sales team: in-product dialogs, AE notifications, “closed-loop” reporting etc.

  • Work with Marketing teams to accurately architect website, form, and campaigns to improve self-service growth

Strategy & Operations:

  • Contribute thoughtfully to discussions about GTM structure, compensation and organizational design, and self-service growth

  • Develop content (slides, documents etc.) to support GTM Strategy for Executive Presentations

  • Navigate operational challenges and develop processes to mitigate automation gaps


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software with a focus on business development, strategy and/or operations

  • Strong communication skills, particularly with executive audiences

  • Self-starter with the ability to work through ambiguity and thrives in fast-paced and multifaceted environments and is able to deliver within defined timeframes

  • High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) specifically being a phenomenal active listener and communicator, who can convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing to various levels of leadership

  • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor individuals through influence rather than direct reporting relationships

  • Adept organizational skills with high attention to detail

  • Experience taking sophisticated ideas and simplifying them into clear solutions that drive business outcomes

  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong executive presence

  • Shown comfort in dealing with ambiguity and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

  • Shown experience in driving a “quality first” mentality

  • Demonstrated accountability in the face of both successes and failures

  • Proven ability to analyze information and make connections that aren’t obvious

  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $181,300 to $314,300.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $166,200 to $288,100.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $181,300 to $314,300.Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
