The Salesforce Health & Safety program leads with care while empowering our employees to work safely through our innovative and engaging safety, compliance, preparedness and response programs! To achieve this mission, we are seeking a technically competent, passionate, and trustworthy professional who is interested in taking risks in order to lead health and safety programs supporting Salesforce employees and operations in the eastern US and Canada including Salesforce Tower New York, Indy, Atlanta and Chicago.

The Health & Safety Manager (AMER) is a regional role based in New York City. This position will report to the Director, Health & Safety and be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive regional Health & Safety program.

The candidate will be expected to serve in an on-call rotation to manage response to health & safety incidents. This role will be an Office Flexible role based in our Salesforce Tower New York office 1-3 day per week. This position will travel 30%+, primarily domestically, but may include limited international travel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Health & Safety program SME for AMER, supporting operations and business leaders in the East Coast and Midwest.

  • Implement and maintain safety programs for our employees and offices including workplace safety, hospitality and amenity spaces including exhibition kitchens, event spaces, and executive briefing centers.

  • Coordinate the execution of the Emergency Response and Preparedness programs for multiple sites including development and maintenance of Emergency Response Teams, Plans, drills, and support for incidents and emergencies

  • Implement of health programs including health threat monitoring, case management and incident response.

  • Coordinate the execution of the health and safety compliance program, including conduct facility compliance walkthroughs with partners to verify ongoing compliance with internal health & safety standards as well as local / regional regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in the investigation, follow up, and root-cause analysis of significant safety incidents.

  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for business partners

  • Coordinate the execution of the health and safety employee engagement program, including providing visible leadership in promoting a culture of preparedness and safety, and serving as a regular participant for site leadership council meetings to integrate and gain leadership engagement in the safety program.

  • Provide support to employees impacted by natural disasters, hardships or injuries/illnesses

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Overall experience of 5 + years in health, safety & preparedness program management or closely related services in the public or private sector.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide leadership during high stress situations.

  • Develop and provide effective and engaging safety trainings to team members and business partners.

  • Proficient in Google Suite (docs, sites, etc.) and Slack

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • Experience working in a Health and Safety or related position

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and use of our business solutions

  • Experience working across multiple subject areas and geographies

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $106,200 to $146,000.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
