About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

MuleSoft’s Professional Services team works across technology and business stakeholders to usher customers into the next phase of their business transformation journey and achieve innovative outcomes that shape the future.

As a Technical Architect on our Public Sector Services team, you will realize solutions for our customers by working hands on with our federal, state, and local government customers and partners to solve critically important business challenges using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform. You provide technical and strategic guidance to MuleSoft implementation projects, evaluate the customer’s technical and functional requirements, and develop efficient solutions to help customers achieve their business transformation goals. Within MuleSoft, you are a thought leader whose voice and actions are essential in growing our overall Services business, team, and culture.

As a Technical Architect, you get to:

Be fearless

  • Apply your passion for learning to achieve both personal and professional growth by quickly picking up new skills through MuleSoft and Salesforce product and services training and by completing MuleSoft technical certifications.

  • Jump right in and provide immediate impact in your first three months by shadowing Senior Architects and participating in field activities using skills gained during your onboarding.

  • Use your autonomy as an implementation leader to act and take risks in order to accelerate your growth while providing innovative and unique solutions to complex business problems.

Make it awesome

  • Work closely with customers and MuleSoft team members to architect transformational technology solutions to meet client business needs in accordance with industry best practices.

  • Lead customer, partner, and MuleSoft technical teams through multi-phased delivery projects and provide hands-on delivery guidance to influence standards for development, governance, and the operational life cycle.

  • Guide product direction and features by providing valuable insight to MuleSoft product leadership.

Own it

  • Identify risks and blockers throughout engagements and contribute to designing and implementing internal mitigation measures to meet customer needs.

  • Find opportunities to expand the MuleSoft footprint through professional services sales and to expand cross-collaboration with MuleSoft partners, system integrators, and third-parties.

Be a good human

  • Train, coach, and mentor Services team members in technical and consulting skills.

  • Use your high EQ to bring both empathy and accountability to the team.

  • Participate in Salesforce-sponsored volunteer activities to make your community and world a better place.

To be successful, you have:

  • Six to ten years of proven track record leading integration teams and architecting solutions within a diverse technical team of clients, system integrators, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).

  • Experience conducting technical workshops with technical and business clients to drive effective services and implementations.

  • Proven experiences architecting services integrations with at least two of the following:

    • MuleSoft or other solutions (e.g., IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, Progress Sonic, etc.)

    • API Management solutions (Apigee, Mashery, etc)

    • One or more on-premise or SaaS packaged COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) solution for ERP, CRM, e-Commerce, or mobile (e.g. Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Oracle, Siebel, SAP, Workday, etc.)

  • Solid understanding of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, configuration, and deployment.

  • Experience with API and integration security with solid grasp of authentication and authorization concepts and principles.

  • Demonstrated experience with high-availability, fault-tolerance, performance testing and tuning parameters on multiple engagements.

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

  • Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.

  • Desire for continuous study of new technologies and functionality, and involvement in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies.

  • Currently the role is 100% remote. Travel could be up to 100% depending on the customer.

  • A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

  • Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation as well as your having and maintaining the specific level of U.S. Government security clearance required for this role. U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) required.
