In this role, you will have a crucial role in designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure and platform tools for data-driven and ML components. This role requires high technical skills along with a strong affinity for architecture, web-scaling, performance, modeling, and developing solutions to improve the performance and scalability of systems. You will be leading the R&D team’s development methodology, tools, and frameworks and make a significant impact on the “go-to-production” process for an auto-scaled cloud system.

You will be a part of the Salesforce AI Platform, an AI technology that makes all Salesforce products smarter. In AI Platform, we develop AI solutions for all Salesforce clouds. We automate data entry and predictive analysis so our customers can make every selling moment count. Our AI solution prioritizes the best next steps, helps to win more opportunities, makes better decisions, increases forecast accuracy, and more.
Salesforce Israel group comprises data scientists, engineers, and growth analysts dedicated to driving product strategy with data-driven insights.
Key role in designing and implementing cloud-based AI and Generative AI shared services as part of the Salesforce AI Platform.
Build a large-scale application platform for Salesforce Engineers and Data Scientists
Utilize best architecture/capabilities across different underlying platforms while avoiding duplication of functionality (i.e., one implementation of each significant component) and building shared services across multiple applications.
Develop software solutions by studying information needs, and systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle.
Continuously measure, optimize and refine an ever-growing microservice architecture system, serving millions of requests a day.
Support software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
8+ years of software development experience
Excellent engineering skills, strong communication skills fundamentals, and elegance in your work
Ability to complete tasks “End to End” - from design and implementation to continuous deployment in production.
Experience in dealing with performance, scaling issues.
Designing large-scale systems in a distributed environments.
Expertise in at least one language. Our engineers have all types of backgrounds, including Java and Python.
A strong sense of ownership of the work you do and belief in doing things the right way for the right reasons
Natural curiosity, ability, and desire to learn quickly
Be a multiplier and have a passion for the team and team members’ success
Proven track record of solving problems creatively
Familiarity with open-source frameworks/libs
Working knowledge of Cloud Computing (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with Relational DB and NoSQL DB like MySql, Aurora, MongoDB, Couchbase, Cassandra, DynamoDB
Experience with Python and Java
