Technical Scoring and Analytics Team
The Technical Scoring and Analytics Team improves our customers' Salesforce experience by empowering builders with data so they can optimize and improve Salesforce products' technical performance. Our scope includes the Technical Health Score (part of Customer Success Scorecard) and monitoring/optimizing for the experienced page load time for our customers' Salesforce pages. As one of the engineers on the team, you would be responsible for maintaining and growing the underlying data that feeds our scores and analytical frameworks.

Success in the Role: What would it look like?
You've taken the initiative to work closely with Data Architects, Program Managers, and fellow engineers, consistently delivering high-quality business solutions using agile methodologies. Data pipelines designed by you are scalable, efficient, and robust, reflecting your deep understanding and application of best practices in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes. You've instilled a sense of trust in the teams you work with, taking full accountability for the data solutions you've engineered. Through your interactions and contributions, the connection between technical efforts and their business impact is evident. Your collaboration with version control and CI/CD systems has improved deployment frequencies and reduced integration issues. You’re comfortable taking business requirements and turning them into data products Bonus points: you’ve worked on composite score projects before

Skills for Success: What you bring to the role

  • Deep proficiency in SQL and demonstrated experience in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Hands-on expertise in building scalable data pipelines using best practices in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Proficiency in technologies like Spark, Trino, Snowflake, and experience within cloud ecosystems like AWS or GCP.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining accurate and well-governed data, with a focus on software development, testing, and deployment best practices.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality.
  • Excellent communication skills for streamlined collaboration and understanding project implications.


Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S/M.S. in Computer Sciences or equivalent field.
  • 4-6 years of demonstrated experience in data engineering.


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce products or related CRM systems.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or any other prominent cloud provider.
  • Experience with advanced debugging techniques and performance tuning.
