About this position:

The ‘F&S’ team (Finance & Strategy) is the global promoter for smart growth, driving financial performance, business accountability, insight to optimize decisions, and shareholder success. The primary role of the FP&A manager is to provide extensive business partnering and financial support to the India Go-to-Market and the broader India site organization. This individual will be the Finance Business partner to the India business teams, a cross functional team chartered with delivering customer success for a key growth region. In this influential role, the person is expected to bring financial expertise, an in-depth knowledge of Finance processes and external standard methodologies, and a bias for action to the operations of the Salesforce India region. This role will also work cross-functionally within Finance, bringing the right guides and teams together to enhance the impact the Finance Organization has on the region. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast pace and changing environment, adept at operating both at a strategic and tactical level. The role will report to the Director, Financial planning & Analysis, India and will operate in a matrixed team, leading the partnership with the APAC CoE and handling support from additional resources as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an active participant to the overall vision, and execution of the APAC Finance & Strategy Team, in tight partnership with the APAC Center of Excellence team.

  • Build positive relationships with key business partners by demonstrating business skills to draw insightful recommendations. Provide executives with clear insights into drivers of business growth, SaaS unit economics as well as helping to define key business success metrics;

  • Engage cross-functional, geo, and operations finance teams to drive global analyses, tools, and investment frameworks;

  • Own budget and forecast cycles for all India functional areas. Work closely with other Regional Finance Teams for seamless processes and consistent communication.

  • Drive existing management reporting – examine financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management;

  • Work closely with the different Functional leads to provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance plus ensure alignment of global as well as local operational initiative. Drive decision making on prioritization and other investment strategies. Identify key business drivers for business generation and resource efficiency;

  • Assist in analysis and presentation of strategic materials for key management meetings; Ability to connect the dots and provide management with high quality output with quick turnaround

  • Build detailed financial, scenario based models to evaluate investment priorities and evaluate potential alternatives

  • Ability to work with different stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, identify areas of automation & improvement and drive standardization.

  • Actively chip in to an inclusive and diverse work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect, constructive feedback, and employee satisfaction

Required Skills:

  • Chartered Account/ MBA with minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in the field of FP&A or Business Finance

  • Experience of working in a global or publicly traded company (Tech/SAAS proven experience is additionally valued)

  • Commercial partnership experience and proven track record to influence outcomes in business is essential.

  • Strong communicator, with ability to present to, and partner with senior executives.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, successfully applying this abilities to the business context.

  • Experience partnering with Sales & Marketing organizations to build a go-to-market investment plan.

  • Past experience working in a dynamic, high-growth company where adaptability is imperative

  • Demonstrated success in driving both strategic and operational activities.

  • Outstanding relationship-building skills demonstrated by ability to grow and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders

  • Experience with Hyperion, Oracle, Business Objects, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or other BI tools.

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
