Position Summary:
The People Analytics team at Salesforce drives our client groups and partners to make data-informed and more inquisitive decisions faster! We build a decision support system to grow and scale our business. In this role, you will be responsible for consulting with Senior ES (Employee Success is HR at Salesforce) and business leaders to transform raw people data into meaningful and practical business insights using a data-driven approach and applying strategic analytic skills. The key focal points for this role will be providing strategic partnership and analytics solution delivery for executive leaders in partnership with the broader People Analytics team. This role will help drive the increased maturity of our ES data management capabilities across the organization acting as an Analytics COE.
Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to the data and analytics strategy for employee data at the company. This includes developing practices, tools, technology, and the framework required to provide useful information and insights about our people to drive business success and help inform our people strategy.
Establish the strategy for technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise-wide people and other multi-functional data as needed and help tie People analytics to business objectives and outcomes.
Create future ready analytics frameworks, standard methodologies and establish clear processes to drive standardization across People Analytics as the Analytics COE.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader both tactically and strategically who can play a critical, hands-on role in developing the Analytics team, data management and governance practices, tools, technology evolution, and using standard processes in the industry.
Align Salesforce leadership, technical teams, and data teams on a joint roadmap and integration program against the Data and Reporting Strategy.
Coordinate system security, including crafting and updating user roles. Ensure appropriate security levels are applied and de-provisioned.
Act as a multiplier - lead with creativity driving best outcomes by mentoring and coaching the analysts in the team.
Improve multi-functional teamwork by developing deep relationships with key partners across the company and coordinating with working teams.
Constantly learn to have a detailed pulse on innovation across the enterprise SaaS, data science, and analytics communities.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Excellent consultative skills, knowing business needs and translating those needs to technical requirements. Clear communication with business and technical leaders.
Ability to effectively communicate strategy, architectures, plans, proposals, and results and negotiate options at the most senior organizational levels.
Understanding of data management and data governance practices, including data stewards, data custodians, data lineage, data quality, data cleansing, metadata management, etc.
Strong data manipulation and database modeling skills. Must be proficient in SQL and have some level of skills with R / Python / other statistical programming languages & technical environments.
Understand how to craft and evaluate data models (conceptual, logical, and physical), and can closely partner with data engineers, architects, and data scientists to build well-maintained databases.
Provide strategic support to the Human Resource function in the areas of people metrics, reporting, and sophisticated predictive analytic capabilities.
Demonstrable experience working directly with senior executive leadership and ability to lead data programs with impact across multiple business units and/or companies.
Excellent communicator in written and verbal form; ability to work well with executives and technologists and lead and influence across all levels of the organization.
Education/Experience:
6+ years experience in product management, strategy, consulting, customer/product analytics, data science, or an equivalent field.
3+ years of experience leading data programs and teams at Fortune 500 companies. Must have prior experience managing data programs that coordinate multiple streams of data for use across a multitude of use-cases.
Experience with HR data strategy, HRMS/HRIS systems experience (SaaS and on-premise ERP) is a huge plus.
Commitment to continuous improvement, successful at leading by influence, and excellent at building cases for investments to improve data management.
Driven by the opportunity to create products with a get-it-done approach and a strong bias towards action.
Experience working with cloud Data Platforms is a plus.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $140,200 to $212,200.Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
