The Role

The Senior Engagement Manager plays a critical role in setting customers up for success by shaping and scoping large and complex Salesforce implementations. The Engagement Manager serves as a trusted advisor to Salesforce customers, working closely with Account Partners, operating in a pre-sales environment to understand customers need and craft winning proposals to enable our largest and most strategic customers to maximise their Salesforce investment.

They are Salesforce platform experts who are accountable for ensuring customer success and business value. They are internally and externally recognised as industry and product specialists. Partnered with an Account Partner, the Engagement Manager leads pre-sales activities, acting as the delivery expert across the portfolio of products and engaging other SMEs across the organisation to develop and articulate comprehensive implementation proposals.

They play a key role in the selling of new services engagements and up-selling value-added services to existing clients to ensure customer retention and continued revenue growth. Moreover, Senior Engagement Managers take on leadership responsibilities, mentoring and guiding junior team members and encouraging a collaborative and high-performing work culture.

The right candidate will.....

  • Align closely with Account and Services Sales team by leading pre-sales activities such as;
    • leading customer scoping workshops
    • estimating the effort of work to implement the right Salesforce solution
    • developing client-specific proposals & drafting SOWs
    • acting as bid manager for Services Request for Proposals
    • crafting resource plans across multi year engagements and
    • collaborating with SMEs across the organisation to gain consensus on implementation approaches
  • Where appropriate and required for Customer Success, provide direct oversight to the project team during the full life-cycle of the engagement, acting as the escalation point for both the customer and Salesforce delivery teams
  • Successfully manage multiple strategic deals simultaneously and be able to articulate vision and strategy to customers, tying business value to key capabilities on the platform
  • Effectively uncover and understand the customer's goals and challenges and recommend the right mix of Salesforce solutions
  • Successfully manage multiple strategic deals simultaneously
  • Be recognised as a valuable and trusted advisor by our customers and other members of Salesforce and continue to build a reputation for excellence in professional services
  • Participate in internal initiatives to drive best practices or growth
  • Mentor or manage jr. employees or program teams


Candidates must be able to demonstrate ....

  • experience in Salesforce cross cloud solutioning and estimating
  • shaping and scoping large and complex implementation projects
  • project delivery

  • active involvement in selling professional services
  • client relationship management
  • proposal and SOW drafting
  • objection handling & negotiation skills
  • collaboration and driving successful outcomes


Experience in Financial Services, Public Sector or Media & Communications industry is an advantage
