This position is for Salesforce’s CRM Analytics Organization. CRM Analytics product is one of our most exciting product offerings ever. It provides an integrated analytics and AI experience within Salesforce’s CRM workflow, and is a key part of Salesforce Customer 360. Currently, we are on a journey to develop revolutionary analytic capabilities that will help define the Salesforce next-generation analytics platform on Data Cloud and cement Salesforce as a leader in the BI & Analytics industry. The platform will enable Salesforce and our partners to build intelligent analytics applications, removing the barriers between insights and actions until all applications are intelligent.

Role Description

This role is to lead Quality and Performance disciplines in CRM Analytics Platform Engineering Team that help build Next Generation Analytics services that are high-quality, reliable and performant. We are looking for an inspirational Engineering Manager to lead CRM Analytics to help deliver high-quality CRM Analytics product and build tools to improve our engineers’ efficiency. We need someone with strong technical skills, highly collaborative, and passionate about product quality, performance, and our customers.

This role will require you to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams - Product Development, Product Management, and Continuous Integration- and drive our # value Trust across teams. As an Engineering leader, you will be responsible for recruiting, retaining, and inspiring the industry’s best talent and substantially growing our org. You will be required to mentor the Quality Engineering (Q3) team to help build, maintain, and enhance frameworks, automation, and tools to improve engineers’ productivity and deliver high-quality products on time. You will help the team to identify new opportunities, frame roadmaps, and execute the plan to deliver tools and frameworks iteratively.

Responsibilities

  • Build a world-class engineering team: Foster and facilitate our engineers' professional growth and development and lead effective cross-functional collaboration across groups within the organization.

  • Build organizational capability within the teams by recruiting and retaining outstanding talent and providing mentoring and other professional growth and development opportunities.

  • Lead test framework and productivity tooling vision and development to accommodate testing automation and productivity improvement needs.

  • Lead scrum processes for 1-2 engineering teams. Promote agile methodologies. e.g., acceptance criteria, the definition of done, and the review process. Manage deliverables, objectives, priorities, trade-offs, risk, and team performance.

  • Align with leadership on tracking and improving quality progress and collaborate with development teams to track metrics and enhance product quality.

  • Mentor the team in good test case design practices. Promote proper test automation strategies leveraging frameworks.

  • Contribute to the direction and drive the future of automation and tooling. Participate in Spike & design discussions and guide the team on innovation, creating/maintaining roadmaps and execution.

  • Drive the execution and delivery of tools and frameworks by collaborating with multi-functional teams.

  • Drive innovation and technical and operational excellence.

  • Coordinate and track technical, cross-team dependencies to drive timely delivery or informed trade-offs when complexity arises.


Required Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of experience in leading software test engineering teams preferably in analytical applications, data visualizations, data pipelines

  • Experience with testing methodologies and automation technologies. Proven track record of responsibilities as a Technical Test lead/Automation engineer

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organizational and time management skills. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive projects

  • Ability to work with teams in multiple geographical locations and time zones

  • Experience in hiring, mentoring and leading engineers

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies. Scrum Master experience required

  • Must have experience building and scaling automated regression testing. Ability to consider business lens and tradeoffs for engineering problems both functional and technical

  • Hands on knowledge on commercial or home-grown automation frameworks

  • Tech Stack familiarity: Java, Java Script, Python, JMeter

  • Technologies/Tools: Jenkins, , Selenium, GitHub

Nice to Have Qualifications

  • Experience working with large datasets including data modeling, logical schema design, ETL/ELT, and developing data pipelines for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data

  • Familiarity with Machine learning & AI
