Who we look for….

At Tableau, our Solution Engineers are among our highest-skilled and most proactive business builders. They play a meaningful role in mentoring other SEs to become world-class pre-sales professionals, constantly looking for ways to scale their knowledge and impact across the organisation.

As behavioural role models, they are positive in outlook, embracing change and extolling the Salesforce values. Day to day these individuals operate in the more complicated, ambiguous aspects of the role - sometimes leading our highest profile deals and acting as overlay support, providing SME knowledge, innovation and strategic feedback into our most critical engagements.

Customer Focus:

  • Works long-term with our most strategic accounts.
  • Also works as a specialist technical overlay on critical engagements.
  • Builds relationships across customer communities.

Technical Ability:

  • Typically the EMEA or Global authority on areas of SME.
  • Able to provide impactful point support on a wide range of deep technical areas.
  • Able to build mutual respect with customer technical executives and SMEs.

Business Builder:

  • Defines best-in-class pre-sales practices in all competencies and coaches/enables the team at scale.
  • Scales SME capabilities to drive business and impact beyond SE team or region.
  • Influences account strategy at an industry or LOB level to drive incremental growth for Tableau.

Industry Alignment:

  • This Public Sector team works with accounts across Healthcare, Defence, Transport, Non-Profit, Local/Central Gov and Policing - having a positive impact every day on citizens across EMEA.
  • Relevant industry experience is helpful but not essential

Language:

  • Must have fluency in English, other European languages are a plus.
