Systems Security Team at Salesforce

Our Systems Security team is responsible for handling all Security Systems Infrastructure primarily in our on-premise Data Centers and protecting our company's host infrastructure from internal/external threats through vulnerability remediation. This includes functions such as host provisioning, maintenance, Host Integrity/Uplift rollout (UEFI/Secure Boot, TPM), patching and de-provisioning. The team owns critical Host Access Management services that protect privileged access to Systems.

During this experience, you'll be part of a wide apprentice community spanning across Dublin and London, and across a variety of business units and roles. You'll also have access to a broader group of people that will support you throughout to develop both personally & professionally.

As an apprentice, year one will be primarily focused on understanding Salesforce and gaining the skills needed to do the job. Then you'll progressively transition into the Systems Security team while continuing to attend college.

Below is a list of the first-year activities you'll be part of:

• Implement and support CI/CD toolchains to support systems security programs.

• Implement monitoring, policies, procedures, and standards relating to systems security.

• Fully embed in fast paced software agile DevOps teams.

• Participate in sprint planning, demos and daily scrum activities.

• Work with the engineering team to meet results.

What are we looking for?

We are looking to hire individuals that have a desire for continuous learning, resilience to overcome an obstacle with a positive attitude and a passion for understanding technology and sales.

Below are some requirements and skills we expect apprentices to demonstrate:

• A keen interest in the world of cyber security.

• Passion and willingness to learn lots of new skills and new technologies.

Additionally all applicants:

• Must have a Grade O6/H7 or above in 5 Leaving Certificate subjects (including Maths/06/H7 along with English 06/H7) or a full QQI Level 5 or higher qualification.

• International applicants must present with the equivalent of a full Level 5 qualification or higher.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Non-EU applicants are subject to work permit regulations.

The program will run in collaboration with Fast Track into Information Technology for two years and will provide you with the experience and knowledge to become a proficient software developer. The responsibilities listed above are a sample of the work our team leads. They provide an insight into the range of roles we are looking for our apprentices to work towards and the competencies you will acquire over the two years.
