Salesforce is looking for a top-tier, results-oriented Senior Director of SEO to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our online presence, driving organic traffic, and elevating the user experience on our website. You will be responsible for orchestrating and optimizing comprehensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies across various product lines and global segments, aligned with our corporate objectives.

Reporting to the VP of Search Marketing, you will work hand-in-hand with our Search Engine Marketing (SEM) team, ensuring a harmonious relationship that results in a cohesive and effective unified search strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with overarching marketing and business objectives. Craft a strategic roadmap that encompasses technical SEO, content strategy, keyword research, and competitive analysis

  • Orchestrate the technical facets of SEO, collaborating closely with our web development team to ensure flawless implementation of on-page and technical SEO elements. Monitor website performance, identify improvement opportunities, and lead initiatives to bolster site speed, mobile responsiveness, and crawl efficiency

  • Conduct meticulous keyword research to unearth emerging trends and promising opportunities. Collaborate harmoniously with the content team to devise data-driven content strategies targeting pertinent keywords, aligning with user intent, and positioning us as authoritative voices within the industry

  • Institute an ongoing testing and optimization framework aimed at refining organic search performance. Employ A/B testing, astute data analysis, and methodical experimentation to fine-tune SEO strategies, on-page attributes, and content engagement

  • Forge strong collaborative bonds with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, brand management, and creative units, to stay aligned on keyword and customer targeting strategies. Ensure a cohesive messaging approach, consistent branding, and optimal user experiences across various touchpoints

  • Oversee the orchestration of SEO analytics tools and platforms, effectively tracking, measuring, and reporting key performance indicators. Regularly furnish the executive team with insights and comprehensive reports that spotlight progress, emerging trends, and potential areas for enhancement

  • Assemble and guide a high-performing SEO team. Cultivate a culture of mentorship, guidance, and continuous professional development, encouraging a collaborative and innovative work milieu.

  • Develop a culture of continuous learning and improvement, ensuring adherence to search governance structures and standard methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of validated experience in a similar role for B2B SaaS, with proven success in managing global SEO teams and strategies.

  • Demonstrated track record of 8+ years in SEO, with at least 3 years in leadership capacities within B2B SaaS or technology-driven enterprises

  • Profound grasp of technical SEO principles, encompassing website architecture, indexing, crawling, and site performance optimization.

  • Proficiency in keyword research, content strategy formulation, and on-page optimization techniques

  • Analytical acumen coupled with the capability to interpret data, derive insights, and make judicious data-driven choices.

  • Excellent ability to present sophisticated insights in an accessible language to stakeholders.

  • Experience with A/B testing and the art of experimentation within the realm of SEO.

  • Strong analytical skills, both in modeling and measurement.

  • Familiarity and comfort with marketing initiatives and optimizing marketing campaigns.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, requirements, and timelines through problem-solving skills.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $206,100 to $314,300.Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
