The Manager of Global Asset Management Finance will be a utility team player working closely with finance teams across the Bank, driving change and productivity across our footprint. Providing support in the planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, the individual will help deliver department initiatives and goals.
The incumbent reports to the Director and will be required to synthesize product, market and economic insights. Managing financial data and reporting strategies, the individual will partner with business leaders to drive insightful analysis and reports.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
1) Drives the monthly and quarterly closing and forecasting process supporting the International Wealth Management team to deliver accurate and informative results:
• Coordinating the high level and detail Forecast and Business Planning processes
• Assess the reasonability of Product growth assumptions and expense drivers by comparing them with economic forecasts and available product assumptions
• Coordinating the projections with the Country and Business Line heads and ensuring alignment among internal partners & targets
• Preparing executive summaries for Finance and Business Line executives
2) Synthesis IWM Product information and integrate market and economic insights
• Manage and build product profitability models and integrate it to the overall IWM Finance reporting and planning processes
• Integrate economic and macro trends Enhance and implement product performance reports helping the management team take actionable business decisions
• Improve country and business lines reports to increase reporting accuracy and timing of information reported
3) Manage IWM Finance data and report strategy
• Manage the Management Information Systems for the IWM group ensuring the completeness, accuracy, timeliness and integrity of the financial results. Develop and implement all reports, strategies and process improvements for all reporting packages and ad hoc requests.
• Enhance and implement product performance reports helping the management team take actionable business decisions
• Improve country and business lines reports to increase reporting accuracy and timing of information reported
4) Act as Business Partner to support the Bank/ business strategy
• Support the implementation of strategies such as the Global Wealth Customer Primacy strategy
• Support the Integration of divestitures and newly acquired entities in existing reporting, forecasting and plan processes
• Identify and capture material opportunities based on performance analysis of the business lines.
• Drive quarterly segment/ product discussion with countries
• Continue to act as trusted business partner.
5) Manages ad-hoc Business analysis to support business strategies
• Examples include Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing (EWST), Business Line Management initiatives, Profitability Models, Business Development initiatives, operational efficiencies and any other finance-related inquiries as formulated by Senior Management and Sales Management Groups.
6) Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her/they respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
• CFA or MBA and/or Accounting Designation preferred
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in financial industry, experience of Finance, Wealth, Investor Relations or Capital market
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills, especially with senior level management
• Material knowledge of the Wealth Management and Financial Institutions industry and their products/businesses
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products
• Built complex dynamic financial models to analyze investment opportunities and project future earnings
• Experience with Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning & Forecasting and PeopleSoft
• Fluency in Spanish an asset
