Manager, Credit Card Acquisition - Retail Credit Cards and Unsecured Lending (Toronto, ON)
Contributes to the overall success of the Credit Card Product Team within Retail Banking, Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
As Manager, Credit Card Acquisition, you’ll play a key role in accelerating new credit card account growth and shaping the success of our acquisition strategies. This is your chance to be part of a high-performing, client-focused team that thrives on collaboration and results.
In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally to lead and manage acquisition programs, analyze performance, and continuously optimize processes. As a valued member of the broader Credit Cards team, you’ll contribute directly to delivering new accounts and driving P&L revenue growth. You’ll report to the Senior Manager, Credit Card Acquisition and be empowered to make a meaningful impact from day one.

- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Play a key role in bringing our credit card acquisition strategy to life by driving impactful initiatives across multiple channels—with a strong focus on digital and branch. Help shape how we connect with clients and grow our portfolio in exciting, innovative ways.
- Create new opportunities to deepen relationships with clients by effectively acquiring new credit card accounts alongside other bank products.
- Support the development of marketing, training materials and offer strategies to attract new customers.
- Partner with internal teams such as Marketing, Risk, Operations, and Finance to assess and optimize acquisition tactics through card product mix, channel mix, and downstream metrics.
- Working with campaign teams to monitor and report on campaign performance, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Analyze research on market trends and competitor offerings to inform strategy.
- Lead effective business routines to gain alignment on core acquisition strategies, monitor performance, engage shareholders, and drive strategic initiatives.
- Maintain documentation and support project tracking for acquisition initiatives.
- Leverage data-driven insights to improve customer acquisition efforts.
- Direct day-to-day activities consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and appetite statement, communicating these throughout the team.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- A genuine passion for the credit card and banking industry, with interest in financial services, marketing, or product management
- 1-3 years of experience in Banking, Payments, or Acquisition and Sales roles is a plus
- Skilled at navigating a complex, global organization with determination and creativity—securing resources, gathering insights, and building consensus to move initiatives forward. You thrive in dynamic environments and know how to get things done
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially in delivering compelling updates and presentations to an executive audience
- Proven project management, collaboration, and relationship management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
- Outstanding facilitation, and structured problem-solving skills, particularly in ambiguous situations
- Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset
- Recognized as a resilient and empathetic team leader who inspires a results-oriented, client-centric culture
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data tools is a plus.
