As the Senior Analyst, you will report to the Manager of Securitization, and perform the day-to-day operations of residential mortgage securitization activities for RESL, supporting the Bank’s capital and liquidity needs.

You will be responsible for the accurate setup, maintenance, and reporting of financial data related to the Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) program and the Covered Bond Program (CB). You will prepare and execute sales and purchases of mortgages between bank entities as requested, reconcile balances between GL accounts, and prepare internal accounting reports.

  • Handle monthly investor reporting for the NHA MBS program, ensuring timely payment of monthly remittances and fees to the Central Payor and Transfer Agent (CPTA) and CMHC.
  • Create and execute pools for all mortgage sales – NHA MBS and internal – while performing clean-up and remittance processes to meet CMHC requirements and bank policy.
  • Prepare and validate monthly and quarterly securitization reports, including Investor Remittance Reports and Valuation Reports for Covered Bonds, Mutual Funds, and RRSPs. Investigate and resolve accounting balance discrepancies related to investor loans.
  • Support securitization-related projects and initiatives, including data analysis, audit activities, and ad hoc reporting to inform management decisions.
  • Assist with regression testing, troubleshoot system issues, identify opportunities for process improvement, and support the implementation of recommended changes.

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate across the organization.
