The Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst (Corporate Actions) / SME for the successful delivery of projects related to the Asset Services Modernization program. In this role you will work as a member of the Scotiabank BA Technology team focusing on projects. You will possess strong analytical skills, be able to run with projects and have experience working in global teams.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Work closely with a global team of e-trading technology professionals, promoting high levels of service, quality and efficiency via knowledge transfer, training, industrialization and globalization of processes
  • Product Specialist for TCS BaNCS Integration Layer including the functional specification and Documentation of new business requirements to delivery of new functionality as well as support of existing systems using industry best practices to deliver business value
  • Working with the implementation team contributing to the successful delivery of multiple projects in all phases

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience of working on projects as a BA in technology
  • Experience in developing business requirements
  • Strong technical SQL Querying skills
  • Experience in Testing and implementing technical solutions
  • Knowledge of Capital Market products particularly in Corporate Actions
  • Ability to partner with developers in deploying new in-house systems
  • Experience in integrating vendor products into existing architecture Preferred
  • Knowledge of TCS BaNCS application suite (Nice to have)
  • Experience developing, maintaining, deploying, and supporting applications
  • Experience working with Operations and Technical users
  • Technical architecture and solution designs
  • Strong communication skills, in particular communicating with business end users
  • Technical testing, including functional and regression, and creation of technical and/or business focused test cases based on business requirements and the technical design
  • Creation of technical documentation
  • Managing test results
