The Senior Valuation Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations and strategic deliverables of the Valuation Team. This position requires strong technical expertise and sound judgment to research financial data and apply valuation methodologies across a broad range of asset classes, including private investments, equities, fixed income, and derivatives, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and reliability. In addition, this role will serve as a key liaison between the Valuation Team and stakeholders across Pacific Alliance countries, ensuring effective communication, alignment on valuation practices, and timely exchange of information.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Review, validate, and challenge financial data, broker quotations, pricing sources, and other key inputs used in valuing a broad spectrum of asset types, including equities, fixed income securities, FX rates, and derivatives
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve valuation discrepancies that exceed established thresholds, ensuring issues are escalated appropriately and resolved efficiently
  • Ensure valuation policies and procedures are well documented, consistently applied, and continuously enhanced; recommend and support process improvements that reduce operational risk, strengthen controls, and increase automation
  • Develop, refine, and maintain sophisticated valuation models for private investments, leveraging market data, industry research, and insights gathered through comprehensive due diligence, including direct engagement with company management, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare, present, and defend valuation proposals and ad‑hoc analyses to the Valuation Committee on a quarterly basis
  • Collaborate closely with team members and cross‑functional partners to achieve group objectives and deliver high‑quality valuation outputs
  • Complete daily valuation packages with a strong focus on precision, auditability, and timeliness
  • Identify securities requiring fair valuation, conduct research, document rationale, and escalate appropriately
  • Continuously expand knowledge of financial instruments, valuation techniques, market developments, and corporate actions

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in valuation, investment analytics, financial modeling, asset management, or a related field.
  • Bilingual - Fluency in English and Spanish both written and verbal is required given the role’s interaction with Spanish‑language documents, data sources, and stakeholders
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex financial information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to C‑suite executives and senior leadership
  • A strong interest in financial markets, investment products, and valuation methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with automation tools or programming languages is an asset.
  • Experience with Bloomberg and/or other financial data platforms is considered an advantage.
  • Progress toward, or interest in pursuing, the CFA designation is an asset
  • Demonstrated accountability, intellectual curiosity, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong market awareness, critical thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced environment
