Purpose
The Team
The Global Fraud Technology team develops and manages innovative digital solutions that strengthen the organization’s posture against evolving operational and fraud-related risks. We work in close partnership with business stakeholders and technology partners to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
The Role
We are seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Developer with strong expertise in Power Apps and Power Automate to join our team. This role requires a highly proactive and self-driven individual who can independently take ownership of work items, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and support applications throughout their full lifecycle, including production support.
Accountabilities
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) and Power Automate flows.
• Engage directly with business users to gather, analyze, and clarify requirements, translating them into scalable technical designs.
• Design end-to-end solutions using Power Platform best practices, security standards, and governance guidelines.
• Independently plan and execute development tasks with minimal supervision, proactively identifying next steps and dependencies.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve production support issues, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with QA and business stakeholders to define test scenarios, perform unit testing, and support UAT activities.
• Ensure proper documentation is created and maintained, including solution designs, technical specifications, support runbooks, and user guides.
• Continuously assess existing solutions to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and performance improvements.
• Communicate technical concepts and solution options clearly to non-technical stakeholders, presenting recommendations and trade-offs.
• Adhere to enterprise change management, release, and security processes to ensure operational readiness and stability.
Education / Experience / Other Information
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience taking ambiguous business requirements and converting them into clear, maintainable technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience supporting Power Platform solutions in production, including incident investigation and resolution.
• Solid understanding of Power Platform security, connectors, Dataverse, and environment management.
• Experience with quality assurance practices, including test planning, defect management, and UAT support.
• Excellent documentation skills with the ability to produce clear and structured technical and functional documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with business and technical stakeholders.
• Highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently without requiring constant direction.
• Experience acting as a technical lead or senior developer in small or growing teams is a strong asset.
Working Conditions
• Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. No travel needs.
