Purpose
This Business Analyst will be responsible for the projects and BAU activity in the Governance Group supporting regulatory reporting activities. Driving product development and enhancements the Manager effectively partners w/ stakeholders to provide the solution requirements against business needs while executing the deliverables.
What You'll Do

Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

Evolve and enhance current operating model within the bank for the management of Sales and Trading obligations and their related technical requirements.

Review/maintain/update the firm’s implementation of existing obligation to establish potential regulatory impact; propose business framework improvements and business requirements; drive pragmatic changes.

Work with the Governance Group, US Business Transformation, Compliance Advisory Team to identify solutions to complex problems presented by the business across Global Banking and Markets.

Partner with technology, compliance advisory, GCM and program managers to integrate timelines and deliverables into project plans, define and clarify business requirement documents, test scripts, user acceptance testing, project artifacts, identify risks / issues / dependencies, and obtain signoffs.

Manage quality control / assurance testing process, issue reporting /resolution, and sign-off / approval of project milestones and deliverables.

Establish clear and achievable objectives, balance competing demands for quality, scope, time, and cost, and adapt specifications, plans, and approaches to the different concerns and expectations of the various stakeholders.

Maintain documentation for BAU exceptions, inquiries, prioritize backlog, and manage projects that support efficient and effective delivery while maintaining adherence to policy and procedures.

Keep day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Bank's risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.

Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

What You’ll Bring

Relevant experience in front office environment, compliance and/or regulatory environments, and technology expertise with data structures, data governance, and a complex financial institution, with a demonstrated history of executing the role's key accountabilities

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, technology, or related field.

Gather requirements from business areas and create design documents.

Design, build, and deliver process enhancements independently and in a team.
-
Debug and resolve issues with BAU and Program enhancements and suggest improvements / changes to existing processes.

Assume additional responsibilities as assigned / required.

Build strong productive customer focused relationships with the Business, Compliance Advisory, IT teams, and third parties.

Strong written and communication skills.

Must be able to write operational manuals and provide demos to large audiences.

Must be motivated, independent, and self-sufficient. Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision.
