Purpose
Whoever holds this position is part of the Access Credential Management team, responsible for executing the access credential management process for all technological platforms used in GBS Colombia. This includes both the basic credentials required for employees to connect to Scotiabank’s corporate network, as well as business application credentials used in the Service Units and Support areas of GBS Colombia, ensuring compliance with established procedures and agreed service levels.
Contribute to the achievement of the objectives of both the IT department and the Operations Vice Presidency of GBS Colombia through the execution of the activities assigned to the role and the fulfillment of its responsibilities.
Provide all GBS Colombia users with the highest level of service, always ensuring that the processes for initial access assignment, maintenance, and removal of access credentials comply with global security standards and guidelines and are delivered within the timelines required by clients.
Responsibilities
- Be part of the team responsible for centrally executing the access management process for Scotiabank’s technology platforms and all applications and information systems used by the different Service Units and Support areas of GBS Colombia.
- Execute all activities and procedures defined for managing basic access credentials, such as requests for Windows ID, Email, and Skype for Business for each GBS Colombia employee, in accordance with established procedures.
- Execute all activities and procedures defined for managing access credentials to all business applications and information systems used on the GBS Colombia campus by the different Service Units and Support areas, in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) established with application or technology infrastructure owners or administrators at Scotiabank that require the use of access credentials.
- Provide support for requests to access the Scotiabank network via VPN for users assigned this functionality, as well as configuration of soft tokens on corporate mobile devices and assignment of physical tokens when applicable.
- Monitor, escalate, and manage access requests sent to application owners or administrators to ensure the delivery of the appropriate access credentials for each GBS Colombia employee according to the established SLAs.
- Communicate procedures and provide guidance to all users in the Service Units and Support areas related to access credential management.
- Maintain constant communication with access credential provisioning teams, as well as with application owners or administrators who provide access permissions to the technological platforms and information systems used in GBS Colombia.
- Complete the required forms, templates, manuals, and documents for the process, as well as document assigned activities.
- Prepare management and follow-up reports related to the Access Credential Management process.
- Perform reviews, controls, maintenance routines, and corrective actions as required in accordance with the monitoring and control plans defined in the Access Credential Management process.
- Attend the enabled communication channels required to meet responsibilities, such as email, telephone, software tools, mobile devices, chats, and any others enabled to provide appropriate service.
- Understand how risk appetite and the Bank’s risk culture must be considered in daily activities and decisions.
- Perform effective and efficient operations in their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the appropriateness, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations related to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk.

Education, Experience, and Other Information (Include only what specifically applies to this role)
- 1 year of basic experience in technical support or application support.
- Technical or Technologist degree in Information Technology fields. Preferably a student with at least four (4) semesters completed in a professional IT-related degree.
- Basic knowledge of information systems and the use of software applications.
- Strong motivation, with the ability to prioritize/delegate and handle a variety of tasks and situations on an ongoing basis.
- Time management skills, ability to multitask, and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
- English level B2.
Working Conditions
- Work in a standard office-based (Off-shore) environment
- Non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
