The Velocity Program is not your average internship or co-op! This is a customized experience that focuses on providing you with the development and tools you need to grow your career. After successfully completing a co-op or internship with top performance, we will work with you to establish your future placements. As a result, you will get to learn, grow, and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine!

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Support the team by planning and coordinating day‑to‑day activities and providing additional creative and operational assistance as required.

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timelines and work‑back schedules are respected for on‑time delivery of creative assets.

  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in video assets and final deliverables, adhering to brand, creative, and technical standards.

  • Assist in maintaining organization of video assets, project files, and film equipment to support efficient workflows.

  • Support on‑set preparation and shoot setup, including ensuring equipment, materials, and locations are ready for production.

  • Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions to enhance storytelling, visual style, and overall production quality.

  • Edit low‑touch videos (e.g., simple cuts, captions, resizing) to support quick‑turnaround content needs.

  • Actively contributes to a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performance team environment.

  • Understands how risk awareness, brand standards, and internal controls should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:

  • You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

  • You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.

  • You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions and/or hackathons.

  • You have previous experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video editing software.

  • You have a strong interest in creative production, storytelling, and digital media.

  • You are highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • You are curious and aware of current market, business, and creative trends.

  • You demonstrate creativity and brings fresh, innovative ideas to the team.

  • You have strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively in a team environments
