Purpose
Manage the overall process of external technology contractor services in GBS, this includes recruiting and going through onboarding, supplier payment, accruals, billing, offboarding, managing the relation with the vendors and leading the contractors team. Responsible for timeliness and accuracy of contractors and financial information of the process, in compliance with current regulation and Scotiabank policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Support the end‑to‑end contractor management process—from recruitment and submission to onboarding, monitoring, renewals, and offboarding—by executing operational tasks required to maintain service continuity, data accuracy, and compliance under the direction of the Supervisor.
- Support the preparation of operational and financial reports related to contractor activity, cost tracking, vendor performance, and SLA compliance for Supervisor review
- Support any required ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Identify operational issues, inefficiencies, or service gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen workflows, accuracy, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors to resolve operational discrepancies, meet process requirements, and ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines.
- Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture to daily activities, supporting adherence to operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, conduct risk, and business controls.
- Contribute to a customer‑focused, inclusive, and high‑performance environment by delivering accurate execution, supporting continuous improvement, and demonstrating accountability for operational quality.
- Carry out effective and efficient operations in their respective areas, in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles. This includes ensuring suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations related to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information
- A degree in administration, economics, or related fields
- 1–2 years of experience in operational roles focused on the execution and control of processes, including vendor support, activity tracking, operational coordination, data accuracy, and preparation of operational or financial reports, within shared services, operations, or support environment.
- English B1+ or B2 is mandatory
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience as business analyst or process analyst is an asset.
- Experience in Finance / Accounting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and collaboration are essential.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English/Spanish.
- Experience with reporting tools is an asset.
- Proven teamwork capabilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Able to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong at prioritizing tasks, adapting to new situations, and taking initiative to solve problems.
- Details‑ and deadline‑oriented, highly organized, and ability to work under high‑pressure environments is a must.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
- Experience and a high degree of comfort working with complex processes.

Working Conditions
The incumbent works in a standard office-based environment requiring normal sensory attention. The business environment is fast-paced, complex and demanding. Deadlines are set well in advance for both external and internal financial reporting with very limited flexibility for change. Non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
