· Design clear, defensible testing approaches; analyze evidence; identify control gaps or potential non-compliance; and communicate practical recommendations.
· Contribute to annual and multi-year testing plans by bringing forward emerging risks, regulatory developments, business change, prior issues, and cross-functional insights.
· Present testing results, trends, and key risk themes to stakeholders and senior and executive management.
· Partner with management to develop effective action plans, monitor remediation, validate completed actions, and assess whether improvements are sustainable.
· Build trusted relationships across Corporate Functions, Compliance, first-line teams, Internal Audit, operations, and control groups to support coordinated assurance across the three lines of defence.
· Identify common themes and opportunities to strengthen controls, simplify processes, improve methodology, and use data, technology, and automation to make testing more effective.
· Support an inclusive, high-performing environment by sharing expertise, collaborating openly, and contributing to the development of colleagues.
What You Bring
· Post-secondary education, ideally in risk management, information technology, audit, business, finance, or a related discipline.
· At least three years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably in regulatory compliance, audit, testing, controls, or risk management.
· Experience applying testing standards, tools, and methodologies to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness is preferred.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly interpret complex information, identify what matters, and escalate issues with sound judgment.
· Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to deliver multiple complex reviews within established timelines.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clear, concise insights to stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
· A collaborative approach, with the confidence to constructively challenge, influence decisions, and resolve issues with diverse partners.
· A results-oriented, data-informed mindset and an interest in improving processes through innovation and technology.
· Knowledge of Corporate Functions and related regulatory compliance requirements is an asset.
· English is required; Spanish language capability is an asset.
