As a Snap Engineering team member, you’ll help us build the future of communication.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Platform Integrity Engineering team at Snap!

What you’ll do:

  • Create strategies to stop malicious activity on Snapchat and to support data compliance.

  • Partner with Trust & Safety, product, and other engineering teams to align strategy.

  • Develop key infrastructure and core functionality in the Snapchat app to protect user safety.

  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions.

  • Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot these services.

  • Build a strategic roadmap for scalable anti-abuse efforts into the future.

  • Define clear success metrics for the team.

  • Help Snap’s product teams design safety and abuse resistance into new products from the beginning.

  • Manage and mentor a team of great people in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer science fundamentals and technical skills.

  • Proficient in making data-driven decisions in complex technical problems.

  • Excellent at communicating context, coaching and fostering innovative ideas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience working in software engineering.

  • 2+ years managing teams of software engineers.

  • BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large scale systems, abuse prevention or Trust & Safety systems, or applying machine learning solutions.

  • Experience working with Trust & Safety and Customer support organizations at scale.

  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company.

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $222,000-$333,000 annually.


Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $211,000-$316,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $189,000-$283,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
