The Legal & Policy Team is Snap’s dedicated in-house law firm, policy consultant, lobbyist, thought partner, and all-around advisor. We are looking for a Legal Operations Program Manager to join the Legal Operations team! Snap’s Legal Operations is rapidly growing to support an incredibly dynamic global legal department. We are committed to collaboration, innovation, and a mutually-supportive growth mindset. To this end, we seek an experienced Contract Management operations professional, an adept flexible legal operator, and most importantly a committed kind colleague. You will oversee all elements of the Contract Life Cycle Management (“CLM”) Program, and provide program support for other areas with Snap’s legal operations portfolio. This role will report to the Head of Legal Operations, but work closely with the Legal Commercial and Corporate group leads and their teams.

What you’ll do:

Lead the CLM program, including operations and processes, for Legal and serve as the primary stakeholder for all cross-functional CLM efforts :

  • Own CLM strategic planning, roadmap development, and continuous process improvement to achieve and maintain CLM state-of-the-art capabilities. .

  • Oversee application user training and management and technical issue triage to ensure ongoing high user adoption.

  • Work hand-in-hand with Commercial Legal to ensure CLM tooling facilitates enforcement of Snap contracting policies, guidelines and requirements.

  • Build relationships with Legal and non-legal partners such as Finance, CorpSec, Compliance, IT, Privacy, and Sales to understand the full scope of contracting processes and policies.

  • Meet reporting requirements and requests from all stakeholders.

  • Nurture and manage CLM support staff, including technical contractors and Snap IT partners to maintain adequate support resources and development throughput.

  • Work closely with CLM technology vendors to address, troubleshoot, and track any technical issues and updates.

  • Harness data to originate metrics driven insights and KPIs to help define program priorities.

As needed, provide program management and project management support across the Legal Operations application portfolio:

  • Assist with non-CLM application lifecycle development, roadmap planning, and technical issue triage for entity management, ebilling, matter management, data visualization, and other applications.

  • Manage small teams of contractors and vendor staff that support legal application development.

  • Work closely with Corporate Group staff to develop entity management application, Athennian, and assist with change management of registered entity signatories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to lead all elements of a mature CLM program, with an in depth administrative familiarity with Ironclad, or other widely-adopted contract lifecycle applications.

  • Extensive experience cross-functionally managing the legal application and feature development lifecycle; specifically the ability to collect user feedback, translate it into clear technical requirements, manage feature development (including sandbox testing), then complete new feature change management and configuration documentation.

  • The ability to accommodate ambiguity and drive alignment between many cross-functional teams.

  • Experience communicating across different teams in an organization with a practical understanding of legal contracting standards and their impact on non-legal business stakeholders.

  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects under pressing deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS preferred; or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years’ experience directly relevant to job scope.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working experience with Ironclad, DocuSign, Brightflag, SimpleLegal, Adobe, Jira, Salesforce, Apttus, Athennian, and/or Oracle.

  • Project management or scrum project certification.

  • Experience working with data management and visualization support staff.

  • A perspective about how AI should improve CLM efficiency and user experience.

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $142,000-$214,000 annually.


Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $135,000-$203,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $121,000-$182,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
