Responsibilities
The Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) & Chief Operating Office [COOU] is a key partner for GBIS business lines development and performance. This global team gathers the following support functions Market Analysts & Certification Community (MACC), Operations (OPER), Information Technology (ITEC) and Regulatory Oversight & Cyber Security(ROCS). BS's role is to provide the most competitive operating model on the market to GBIS business lines while delivering a high quality level of service and innovative solutions in a risk-controlled environment. he primary missions of the Chief Operating Office of GBS consist of: optimizing the allocation and the management of resources (capital, balance sheet, liquidity) for all GBIS activities and, secondly, driving the even more in-depth transformation of our operating model, especially those relating to the resources departments. The specific role of the GBTO team is to ensure teamwork, synergy, pursue & implement strategic transversal programs & continue the development of a top class team for GBS regionally.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Create a strategic vision and implement strategies/tactics to safeguard employees and the workplace environment
- Be the Internal expert on security matters for senior leadership (Travel management, establish culture of security awareness)
- Manage network of 3rd party service providers (security staff, security technologies, etc)
- Assess, develop, update and enforce security plans and policies
- Establish external partnerships with peers and enforcement agencies and collaborate on implementation of best practices to respond to firm specific or street wide crisis
- Work with Compliance and Risk to enforce clean desk policy
- Conduct facility security assessments and recommend improvements to enhance safety for staff
- Manage security design for all new office build projects and renovations to existing space.

Creation of a Comprehensive Workplace and Security program including:
- Security and safety response policies/procedures
- Training and awareness programs for associates including workplace violence and active shooter situations
- Proper monitoring and use of security systems
- Process for incident tracking and response
- Employment of visible security services
- Coordinate employee wellness and emergency management protocols with HR and BCM teams
- Hire, train, and supervise SG dedicated security guard detail for Security Operations Center.
- Implement Emergency Safety program that include
- Contact list for different types of emergencies – i.e. city-wide vs. local area emergency or building emergency
- Coordinate with HR and BCM teams to ensure emergency contact information is up to date
- Active shooter training
- Maintain accessible security and safety web page
- Manage policies and procedures for employee terminations
- Hire on-site security officers to assist with employee terminations as needed
- Leverage industry experts by hiring qualified 3rd party vendor to provide skilled Security Administrators
- Manage an industry-standard EP program integrating personnel, protocols, systems and technology for the CEO and key executives
- Partner with internal business units (HR, Legal) in conducting internal investigations
- Engage a more comprehensive travel assistance program for employees that offers 24/7 up-to-date travel advisories, guidance and in-country assistance
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and solid judgement
