Responsibilities

Working for the General Management and the Board of the bank, Societe Generale’s General Inspection Department carries out strategic studies and audit assignments for all the activities of the Group in France and abroad (presence in more than 60 countries). General Inspection also leads specific projects and investigations upon the request of the General Management. Under the supervision of the General Inspector and the management of Principal Inspectors (managing directors), the department counts ~100 inspectors - a team in charge of regulatory affairs and a support team.

During your time within General Inspection (3 or 6 years), you will contribute to 4 to 6 months Inspection missions across the business and service units (investment banking, financial markets, retail banking, insurance, corporate departments, IT, etc.) in France and abroad:

- You will assess the relevance of the strategy decided and implemented by the business and service units, their level of risks and their processes’ efficiency.

- You will design and issue recommendations to strengthen the risk management frameworks and advise the senior management on strategic and organizational adjustments. As an inspector, you will follow‑up on these recommendations to ensure their proper implementation.

- You will present your conclusions directly to the bank’s senior management through oral debriefings and written reports that highlight your deep and robust arguments in a clear manner.

You may also contribute to Societe Generale’s strategic projects: General Inspection is involved in examining major strategic projects, at the heart of Societe Generale Group’s agenda (due diligences in France and abroad, preliminary studies for large-scale projects, major incidents etc.).

Finally, you may also work closely with a dedicated team of high-skilled data scientists and will have the opportunity to develop new skills by interacting with them on your missions and benefitting from dedicated trainings on data analysis.
