Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our Autonomous US Capital Markets team in New York. If you have a passion for research and are interested in building a long-term career in the investing world, there's no better place to start than Bernstein. We seek candidates who love to solve problems, analyze data, and are passionate about in-depth fundamental analysis. We offer a unique opportunity to become an industry expert as you work alongside a seasoned veteran who will mentor and develop you. These roles offer a path to more senior opportunities within Bernstein and Autonomous.

As a Senior Research Associate, you will:

  1. Develop broad sector expertise across US Capital Markets including investment banks, retail brokers, fintech, and information services companies, working one-on-one with a Senior Analyst who is a seasoned industry expert
  2. Build deep knowledge spanning bleeding-edge topics like crypto, prediction markets, and digital assets to traditional areas including wealth management, bank regulation, and market structure
  3. Become highly proficient at in-depth analysis of your companies, stocks, and industry themes
  4. Work with and analyze vast and complex data sets, extracting actionable insights from SEC filings and alternative data sources
  5. Author written research that is famous for its deep industry insights and analytical rigor
  6. Become adept at financial forecasting, including building detailed forward-looking models
  7. Build strong relationships across the investing community including our sales and trading teams and institutional clients
  8. Build a network within your industry including senior management of your companies

We have an outstanding Associate program and make a strong commitment to your development. Our culture is intellectually rigorous, but it is also very collegial and fun. We have robust learning and development programs as well as annual offsite events. We offer a flexible work schedule, but our in-office environment is very active. Our Associates are highly involved in (and often lead) our firm’s cultural initiatives, ranging from health & wellness, community service, mentoring, employee resource groups, social events, and Associate leadership.

The role is eligible an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, Medical/Dental/Vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
