POSITION SUMMARY
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Manager, Core Services Product Management to support the launch of a new business incubated within SCA. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering core services, APIs, and functionalities that support our businesses and customer experiences. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented and highly collaborative organization of designers, engineers, data analysts, and product managers to create a best-in-class product experience for our customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Product Services: Deliver world class services, API, and functionalities to support our businesses, aiming to be highly available, resilient, and responsive.
Roadmap Planning and Prioritization: Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that balances customer needs, business goals, and technological advancements. Collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, and sales teams to prioritize and execute initiatives effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships and collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders – including software engineers, designers, operations, marketing, sales, and customer support teams. Work closely with these teams to ensure successful product launches, resolve issues, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to identify market trends, evaluate competitor offerings, and develop strategies to differentiate our services. Stay abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
Customer Satisfaction: Advocate for the customer and ensure that product decisions and enhancements are driven by customer insights and feedback. Continuously monitor customer satisfaction, conduct user testing, and gather feedback to improve product offerings.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
6+ years in product management, preferably in subscription services and/or consumer software in the telecom, media and technology industry.
Track record of launching new products and services -- from product design to serving customers -- within a large company environment but working at a start-up pace.
Success with delivering highly available, resilient, and responsive services and API.
Demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional environment across multiple time-zones.
A systems thinker, capable of identifying issues, understanding linkages and brainstorming revolutionary solutions.
A strong communicator, able to articulate your point-of-view, engage in fact- based discourse, collaborate, compromise, and bridge gaps.

Annual incentive bonus
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $155,000 to $170,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
