PTP Supervisor

The Global Finance Shared Service Center supports the core business with finance related matters, covering a wide scope of activities across the globe. We ensure suppliers and artists are paid on time for the amazing work they create. We work closely with the local finance teams around the world which means we have an excellent understanding of how the company operates and are kept up to date with key developments in this exciting and fast paced industry. Our teams play a key role in ensuring Sony Music achieve their annual goals each year
As a PTP Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring and quality assurance of PTP services to regional Sony Music entities.
What you'll do:
Supervision, Monitoring, and Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the third-party PTP team to ensure adherence to established processes and policies.
- Monitor transactional activities, such as purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and payments, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Perform regular audits and quality checks to assess the accuracy of P2P transactions and promptly address process gaps and non-compliance issues.
- Monitoring of third-party PTP team to ensure adherence to established processes and policies.
- Help PTP team members to achieve their goals by supervising, monitoring and supporting in overcoming procedural challenges.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards.
- Review /assess the accuracy of PTP transactions and promptly address process gaps and noncompliance issues Ensure up to date and complete documentation ( SOPs & DPMs )
Support and Training:
- Provide guidance and support to the PTP team/ third-party and Sony Music Affiliates teams in resolving complex PTP issues and escalations.
- Assist with requests by local finance
- Support the PTP Manager in identifying PTP training needs in order to built best-in-class PTP services
- Prepare and lead internal training sessions for PTP team/ third-party and Sony Music Affiliates
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the PTP cycle.
- Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Transition
- Support and coordinate together with Process Owner and global team the PTP Transition
- Prepare comprehensive desktop procedures to ensure a seamless transition process.
- Actively participate in transition calls to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
- Capture and document essential knowledge for a smooth handover of responsibilities.
- Share the knowledge and best practices with PTP Global team members
- Support more junior team members by leading by example and providing feedback
- Engage in new processes/systems/tools testing and provide feedback
Performance Metrics:
- Comprehend and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess PTP Global Team and the third-party team's performance and also prepare PTP Dashboards.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to track and communicate progress to the PTP Manager
Who you are:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in a multi-national company with proven experience in a supervisory role within a PTP or Accounts Payable function
- Strong understanding of PTP processes, systems, and best practices
- SAP experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred - in accounting/ finance
- MS Office proficient
- Problem solving ability
- Proactive self- starter
- Flexible working style
- Polish and English language proficient - reading, writing, oral communication
