The Vice President of Promotion leads the strategy, execution, and performance of all radio, streaming, and promotional campaigns across the label’s roster. This executive is responsible for driving audience growth, chart performance, cultural visibility, and market impact for artists at every stage of their careers.
The VP of Promotion develops and manages relationships with radio programmers, DSPs, tastemakers, media partners, and industry stakeholders while overseeing national and regional promotion teams. They work closely with A&R, marketing, digital, publicity, artist management, and commercial partnerships to create integrated campaigns that maximize exposure and revenue opportunities.
What You'll Do:
- Office- first role, in office 4 days a week.
- Lead national promotion strategy for all label releases across radio, streaming, and emerging platforms
- Build and maintain strong relationships with programmers, curators, DJs, media outlets, and industry partners
- Oversee promotional timelines, campaign execution, and team performance
- Drive chart growth, audience engagement, and market share for priority artists and releases
- Analyze audience data, streaming trends, and market insights to optimize campaigns
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, digital, publicity, touring, and sales teams
- Identify new promotional opportunities, partnerships, and platform innovations
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and reporting
- Recruit, mentor, and develop promotion staff across national and regional markets
- Represent the label at industry events, conferences, showcases, and artist activations
Who You Are:
- 10+ years of music industry experience with a strong background in promotion, radio, or artist marketing
- Proven track record of breaking records and building successful artist campaigns
- Deep relationships across radio, streaming services, and music media
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Expertise in music consumption trends, audience analytics, and campaign strategy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, artist-driven environment
- Passion for music culture and emerging talent
- Strategic thinker with strong creative instincts
- Highly connected within the music industry ecosystem in Nashville
- Collaborative leader with experience managing high-performing teams
