EVENTS LEAD
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on creating the best events and experiences for every customer and employee at SpaceX. Put your creative skillset to use to plan and execute VIP launch campaigns, customer acquisition and retention events, and employee events. Seeking a team player who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and is eager to work with us towards accomplishing our mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and execute launch events, special events, internal events, and customer experiences from start to finish, including sourcing and managing event vendors such as venue, transportation, catering, A/V, and entertainment.
- Negotiate and execute conference sponsorship activations and special events, working cross-functionally with internal teams.
- Develop and manage event agendas, registration landing pages, invite lists, and communicate directly with high-level executive customers.
- Provide onsite event management, including evening receptions and weekend events.
- Ideate and implement creative branding elements, such as décor, interactive activations, themes, and custom elements, to enhance attendee experiences.
- Lead administrative tasks for the department, including supply ordering, budget tracking, payment processing, shipping coordination, and inventory oversight with our fulfillment center.
- Work with the Merchandising Team on customer and event gifting and branded décor items.
- Work with security teams to facilitate guest security clearances and ensure compliance with Air Force base regulations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years’ experience in event planning or hospitality.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or related field.
- Hands-on experience in all event planning aspects, including but not limited to venue sourcing, event design, vendor procurement, décor, food and beverage, and entertainment.
- Strong communication skills to ensure high-quality experiences across multiple programs and teams.
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a proven ability to thrive under pressure to execute events efficiently.
- Ability to multitask future events while executing current events.
- Ability to travel domestically and remain flexible in schedule as event dates shift.
- Strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to travel often and work extended hours as needed to attend and execute events.
- Ability to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for installation access at Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Events Lead: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
