We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M365 / Entra ID Technical Leader to lead a small team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) and Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), along with strong leadership and project management skills. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive the implementation, management, and optimization of M365 and Entra ID solutions while leading and mentoring a team.

This is a hybrid eligible position.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead programs to develop, maintain, and govern M365 platform services across Stanford University.
  • Lead and manage a small team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Research and guide Stanford with configuration and best practices of Entra Id, Exchange Online, Teams, Sharepoint Online and OneDrive
  • Design, implement, and manage M365 and Entra ID solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and performance of M365 and Entra ID environments.
  • Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for M365 and Entra ID administration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate M365 and Entra ID with other IT systems and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to M365 and Entra ID.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest M365 and Entra ID features, updates, and industry trends.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities for team members and end-users.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of M365 and Entra ID initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing small IT teams.
  • Strong understanding of M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of Entra ID, including user and group management, identity protection, conditional access, and application integration.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management of M365 and Entra ID.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or similar are highly desirable.

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in M365 and Entra ID administration and management.

The expected pay range for this position is $168,628 – 180,000 per annum.
