Your Opportunity
Stantec's multi-disciplinary office on 5th Avenue in NYC has an opportunity for a highly motivated Transportation Engineering Intern/Co-op.
This is a paid internship/co-op position with full time or part-time hours during Spring of 2025. We believe training, collaboration, and connections are strengthened by working alongside team members. Therefore, this is primarily an office position with limited remote work (if any) anticipated.
Your Key Responsibilities
Assist with transportation impact studies, traffic data collection and data analysis, report writing, and other technical assignments.
Collect traffic data via publicly available sources and field visits.
Analyze traffic data using Microsoft Excel.
Perform traffic analyses using HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Cube.
Support our roadway design and traffic engineering groups.
Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Microsoft Excel.
Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team environment.
Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills.
An interest in transportation planning and engineering.
Education and Experience
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree engineering program.
Position will primarily be in an office setting; may require some field work to collect data. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s):
- $21.91 Per Hour - $32.21 Per Hour Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
