Primary Purpose of Position:
To work with a team of Water, Energy and Chemicals experts providing Sustainable Supply Chain expertise to our multinational clients on various issues relating to Water and Wastewater, Energy, Chemicals, Soil and Groundwater, Environmental, Health and Safety, Social, and Supply Chain management. To learn from a capable team with good professional skills and to learn from internal training platform on skills needed for this job.
This role will report directly to a principal water consultant and will have the opportunity to support marketing, proposal and business development professionals. To be successful the incumbent must possess:
Good technical knowledge of water and wastewater
Attention to detail: Ensures accuracy and reliability in data analysis and reporting through a meticulous approach.
Strong skills in data validation, manipulation and analysis
Good communications skills with clients, stakeholders and team members
Must have a curiosity about the integrated impacts of Water, Wastewater, Chemicals and Energy on Sustainability
Must have excellent spoken and written skills in both English and Chinese
Key Accountabilities:
Support water data management and analysis
Supplier water data collection, validation and analysis
Water trackers maintenance and update
Support IT team to improve online data collection system
Water policy and technology study
Consulting for water stewardship projects, including
Gathering and analysis of water-related data for selected catchments
Water risk assessment with support of Aqueduct and Water Risk Filters
Analysis of site-level water quantity and quality data
Development of water stewardship strategy and action plans
Undertake facility water assessments, including:
Water Balance
Wastewater Treatment and Reuse
Water & Energy Conservation
Regulatory Compliance
Sampling and Analysis
Maintain good relationship with Client representatives and Facility staff;
The supporting work includes, but is not limited to:
Assist in developing proposals and coordinating input from other Stantec offices to ensure that they are submitted on a timely basis at a competitive price;
Assist the Business Service leaders in identifying and developing market opportunities in China, primarily focusing on multinational companies in the middle portion of China.
Assist project managers on successful project delivery and support on technical matters and client management, etc.
Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum BA/BS degree, with understanding and/or educational background in environmental engineering/sciences or related fields;
Passion on working in the Environmental Consulting industry;
Attention to detail;
Strong team spirit;
Keen to continually learn;
Fluent in English and Mandarin;
Oversea study/residential experience preferred;
Skills
Highly proficient in MS Excel for data manipulation, analysis and visualization;
Proficient in data analysis concepts and techniques;
Experience in Water and Wastewater consulting preferred;
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and/or programming languages (Python, R, etc.) is a plus;
Strong communication skills;
Ability to work independently.
