Your Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced business development assistant to support our BCPL with various tasks. This challenge requires an eagerness to gain the knowledge and tools to advance your career. You will need to demonstrate professionalism in all forms of communication, attire, attendance, and work independently and as part of a team.
Your Key Responsibilities
Provide business development support for marketing and communication activities for Management and Technology Consulting Sector Business Development Leader, Business Center Practice Leader and others across North America.
Lead and support proposal development including the preparation of sole source proposals, qualifications, subconsultant packages, change orders, competitive proposals, and coordination with regional proposal specialists.
Maintenance of information in business development system administration platforms (SMKC and Pipeline).
Support research/opportunity tracking related to the marketing and business development plans.
Support technical staff in the implementation, utilization, and maintenance of all regional marketing tools, systems (SMKC, Pipeline) and project/people data and information.
Support tradeshow/conference activities and promotion, client events, and other related activities including tracking information, coordinating with promotion specialist to prepare and secure participation.
Coordinate with regional marketing teams, as needed.
Special projects, including research and general business administration functions, as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills to balance deadlines.
Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, and Edge.
Working knowledge in the use of desktop publishing software, preferably InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite) a plus but not required.
Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers and clients, internally and externally and work with a variety of personality types.
Self-starter capable of efficiently and proactively working independently as well as with a geographically dispersed team on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong sense of Team. Always willing to step in and take on additional responsibility for the good of the entire Team.
Strong attention to details as deliverables are open to public review, auditing, and scrutiny.
Education and Experience
Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Edge, as well as Adobe Acrobat, is required.
Experience using Smartsheet, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite desktop publishing software is a plus.
Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Marketing, Business, or other related area plus minimum of 5 years of experience in an office environment providing high-level administrative and marketing support to professionals.
Previous experience with an engineering, architecture, and/or management consulting firm, or other professional service firms is considered an asset.

Salary Range(s):
- $28.00 Per Hour - $39.00 Per Hour Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI and MD
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
