Your Opportunity
Stantec is looking for a Highway Design Engineer that can be a part of our growing team in Pune office. The candidate will be assisting Senior Highway engineers and other senior staff in successful delivery of projects. At Stantec “we put people first” by delivering exciting career opportunities. Your Key Responsibilities
Produce and review design solutions from outline briefs, correctly interpret data and effectively communicate to others.
Check design and assessment calculations and review detailed drawings.
Work on multiple projects concurrently with limited supervision.
Ensure delivery of project in accordance with quality, timescales, and budget.
Produce designs, calculations, specifications and drawings to ensure that technical designs will provide appropriate solution.
Plan, program, co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects.
Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required.
Supporting Senior Engineers in the analysis, design and calculations related to design of different highway/roadway components.
Maintain records of all design calculations/drawings/documents.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Minimum 5 to 8 years’ professional experience in the consulting and engineering industry after graduate education, technical knowledge of road design in Open Roads.
Civil3D and / or Inroads and/or 12D knowledge is a plus.
Good knowledge of all aspects of technical standards and design codes such as AASHTO, Austroads, DMRB.
Design delivery in Open Roads on North American projects using AASHTO is a must.
Ability to take directions from senior engineers and execute them efficiently.
Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
Effective communicator and able to work under tight schedule.
Competent level of client service management, i.e. able to interface with clients and to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships with our clients.
Strong organizational and problem resolutions skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialists.
Travel & other job demands.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s degree in Highway/Transportation Engineering with 5 to 8 years of experience in design and documentation of roadway/highway projects. Experience on international projects is a must.
Software Skills:3. Knowledge of and project delivery in Open Roads is a must. Knowledge of Civil 3D and/or 12D is a plus. Infraworks/Navisworks experience is a plus.
AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Knowledge of International Roadway Design Standards (AASHTO, DMRB, Austroads or similar).
