Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., (Multiple Positions), Houston, TX. Perform engineering design tasks on assigned water and wastewater-projects, including preparing engineering calculations, engineering drawings, engineering technical specifications, engineering reports, client presentations and applications to regulatory or funding agencies. Develop designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. Develop and coordinate process-mechanical project scope, process flow diagrams, budget, staffing, and schedule in coordination with the design manager and project manager. Perform site visits, condition assessments, and observe equipment operations during startup and normal conditions. Develop a professional network within the water industry with clients, regulatory agencies, consulting firms, and industry organizations. Mentor staff and interns in completing technical project assignments. Assist with development and updates of project design standards and guidelines. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). #LI-DNI #GTM

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 10 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with the following: Designing solutions for water and wastewater projects; Coordinating process-mechanical design teams on water and wastewater treatment projects for municipal and industrial sites; Specifying and modeling equipment and associated piping for selected technology solution and equipment, via collaboration with vendors and manufacturers; Performing hydraulic calculations using hydraulic modeling software including AFT Fathom; and Project document production, including procurement procedures, and regulatory approval processes.

Must have an active U.S. or Canadian Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Telecommuting permitted up to 3 day a week, depending on business need.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 20%.

Travel to various international locations required up to 10%.
